Pidurangala
Boburu ella
Also known as Perawella Falls and located near the Nuwara Eliya border.
This beautiful cascading mass of water is a collection of 10 smaller falls and is situated about 2000 meters above sea level.
Can be reached by taking the Welimada – Pussellawa Road and is reached through a rather winding track. Known to be the widest water fall in Sri Lanka.
Baththalaguduwa
Baththalangunduwa is iconic place for beach camping. Kalpitiya has gotten one of the significant vacation spots of Sri Lanka.
Most of the travelers visit Kalpitiya to visit mainly Baththalangunduwa, Bird watching, Kalpitiya Dutch Fort, Kayaking, Kite surfing, and it has an amazing beach.
There are limited number of tourist destinations in Kalpitiya. So it is very easy to cover all tourist attractions within two to three days.
Around 38 kilometers or 20 nautical miles from the town of Kalpitiya off the Dutch Bay lies the island of Baththalangunduwa.
Yahangala
Steeped in Ramayana legend, Yahangala is the rock where King Ravana was laid to rest after he was killed by Lord Rama in the final battle.
All of his countrymen were devastated by his death and it was here that they came to pay their respects for their honourable King.
‘Yahangala’ means bedrock in Sinhala. His body is said to be hidden on the left side of the rock. This rock gives beautiful 360 degree views of the surrounding landscapes.
Coconut Tree Hill
Having made its way to almost every traveler’s Instagram profile when they visit Mirissa, the Coconut Tree Hill is a must-do when you’re in Mirissa.
The Coconut Tree Hill is a private coconut estate with a nearby temple set on a high cliff overlooking the glistening waters of the Indian Ocean and the untouched stretch of golden beach.
Located in proximity to the town, the hill can be accessed throughout the day or night; at no cost.
Galaboda ella
The Galboda Ella Fall originates from the Galboda Canal , in the Central Province wet zone.
Annual rainfall here exceeds 4500mm, 60% of the rain coming from the south-west monsoon (dry season is January to February).
Watawala, the area of Sri Lanka that receives the highest amount of rainfall on the island, is nearby.
Galboda Falls is 30m high but the width ranges from between 3m and 6m, depending on the season.
